Silly Knott Lakestead, a 5 star Lake District Luxury Lodge
Exclusive self catering accommodation Near Cartmel
Silly Knott is one of six exclusive architect designed Lakesteads, or Lake District holiday lodges, situated in tranquil surroundings in the Lake District National Park.
These luxury holiday lodges are approximately 3 miles from the historic village of Cartmel, a popular tourist attraction famous for its sticky toffee pudding, medieval Priory and local race course. It has several high quality cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Cartmel also regularly pays host to a local Antiques Fair.
Otter Tarn is just 3 miles from Newby Bridge at the foot of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake, and the perfection location from which to explore the southern and central Lake District. You can also enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere, the nearest departure point is Lakeside where you can also take a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway.
Silly Knott is the only property that has its own generous garden to the rear. The south facing garden is very private and is the perfect place to catch the sun on a warm summer's day.
The lodge sits in the far corner of the park and looks out onto the immaculate lawns, tended by robot lawn mowers. The hot tub is located to the right of the rear decking, on the edge of the private lawned area.
In the spring a doe likes to visit here with her fawns and because of this we commissioned a painting of a deer for Silly Knott.
